Hello, I'm Kyle Kermgard!

Hello 👋 I'm Kyle. I have over 10 years of experience as a software engineer, and have worked at both small startups and large organizations. I specialize in building scalable full-stack web applications. I love building things and solving hard engineering problems.

Highlights

• Refactored an application reducing the average page load times by a factor of 10 as well as reducing support requests from several a day to less than 1.
• Architected and developed a highly optimized RESTful messaging API intended to serve millions of requests per day.
• Designed and built a user-friendly administrative web application for a team of support agents to efficiently support hundreds of thousands of customers.
• Joined as the first non-founder employee of the successful startup Sendgrid.

My personal interests include:

• Technology It's an exciting time for technology. I love following the latest news in hardware and software development as well as playing with the newest gadgets.
• Fitness I spend a lot of time being active. Including lifting weights at the gym, running outside, practicing yoga, and sometimes getting out into the mountains to hike or snowboard.
• Gaming I've been an enthusiastic gamer since I was a kid.
• My Dog I have a three year old chocolate lab named Charlie that I spend a lot of time taking walks and going to the dog park with.
